The Ryobi GDO System lets you control your garage door from anywhere in the world that you have internet access. With the flexibility of the plugin Module System™ you can add accessories like a garage fan, bluetooth speaker, electric cord reel, and laser park assist. How do you reset the password for the Ryobi GDO? The webiste allows you to reset it, but the app doesn't recognize the new one. Many people complaining about this online. Website seems to be broken. Not sure if it will be a replacement for the GDO app or a separate app just for the cam. The first one I had actually caused the door to open and close itself a few dozen times one night! Ryobi looked over the logs when I reported my door activating one night and said it was the cam.

Are you having trouble registering your device?
Please take note of the following:
- Device registration happens on the phone within the app, NOT on the website.
- Ensure good Wi-Fi connection or cellular connection.
- Close the app, but do not “log out.”
- Reopen the app. You should see the “Ryobi Phone Works” screen appear.
- Select the device you want to register.
- Enter the serial number, which is not case sensitive, from the data label.
- Select your country, and then select Done.

Have you already registered your device, and it still isn't recognized by your phone?
- Do not use your phone for a call while troubleshooting these steps.
- Remove the device from the phone.
- Close the app, but do not “log out.”
- Reopen the app. You should see the “Ryobi Phone Works” screen appear.
- Select the device you want to register.
- Make sure you have removed the red battery tab in the device battery compartment, and secure the batteries back in place.
- Double check the microphone settings on your phone under “Privacy” (iPhones only).
- Click on your settings icon
- Select “Privacy”
- Select “Microphone”
- Find the Phone Works toggle and slide to green
- From the home-screen of the app, where all 8 device icon show, plug in the device. Do not touch the icon.
Will my phone's volume affect the app?
For maximum operating results, be sure the volume on your phone is turned completely up*. If you have Apps that inhibit the volume, please disable them.

My screen is timing out when the app is in use. What should I do?
If your smartphone screen times out during use, please adjust the settings on your phone to allow for longer screen activity time.
How do I know if my device is compatible with the Phone Works app?

The camera that you are seeing on your smartphone screen when using the Phone Works App is the camera from your smart phone.

What is the run time, and how can I maximize it?
The run time for the device is dependent on several factors. To maximize your run time, be sure to use fresh batteries. While running the app, disable the camera function when not needed.
If the failure has occurred before the expiration of the warranty period, the repair or replacement will be performed by the manufacturer. If it has happened after, it is often possible to fix the problem yourself without having to call the repairman.
